One of the things I love is the temperature drop. I am not a sun worshipper at all, but I’m sure even those of you who are will admit that the glorious whether of only a few weeks ago was a bit much for our canine friends. We can now get out and about all day long and once again enjoy long walks, without being too hot (or too cold).
Those colours! No one can deny how pretty Autumn is. Those deep browns, bright reds, vivid oranges and yellows. It really does bright up those Autumn walks. Even your normal walking route can seem like a new place with all that colour. As the leaves fall and you get that lovely crunch under foot, just think how exciting this must be for your dog. All new smells and textures making for a whole new experience.
I love to stop for a cosy coffee or a tasty hot chocolate on our walks. Autumn is lovely time of year to do this. Pop a warm jacket on and sit outside a cafe with your warm drink. Devine. Or maybe I am overly romanticising this!
With Autumn of course starts to come the dark nights and that isn’t always fun. In my group next week we will be looking at hints and tips for dark nights with your pooch. Come join us! You’ll find a warm welcome waiting for you there.
